Student life is essential for our students' growth. Laughing together, being together, making memories together is what propels our students into their own individual person. Through fun activities such as Screen on the Green on the football field, Nerf Wars in our Student Center, to simple Life Groups, our students have an environment that is a place where they can be who they truly are. Student Life is not just an add on to Valor, but it is ingrained into the culture of who we are.

Student housing at SAGU Valor is a large part of student life. It is the context in which students learn to do life together and is where they develop life-long relationships with one another. We partner with local apartment complexes to get the best rates and living accommodations for our students.

SAGU Valor offers a unique spiritual growth experience apart from any other college of its kind. Chapel is one way that we make sure students are being spiritually fed throughout the week. On Thursdays our students and staff gather together for an exciting time of fellowship, worship and a  message tailored specifically to students studying ministry. One of the best parts about chapel is our students are able to put their hands-on training to practice. Worship is entirely student led and upperclassmen will have the opportunity to preach in a service. These weekly services provide the staff and student body of  SAGU Valor to come together and put aside all their responsibilities to focus on their one true King!

Helping You Succeed Beyond Graduation

We know that for every student to flourish, there has to be a feeling of community and family. Every individual student is loved, accepted, and challenged in their apartment small group. These small groups contribute to the larger goal, which is spiritual growth in every single student. Through our small groups, we learn together, grow together, live together. Because of it, we lead together.

At the beginning of each semester at SAGU Valor, every student participates in the spiritual emphasis retreat. It is a fun-filled experience for all students because of the community worship and team building activities. Activities include: worship services, team games, team building activities and problem solving. It’s an experience that bonds everyone together to be a team before the academic semester kicks off.

It is always one of the highlights of the year for every single student!

Missions is the heartbeat of SAGU Valor and yearly trips is part of the SAGU Valor experience. We ask that every student go on at least one mission trip during their time with us. There are mission trips available through SAGU Valor that ranges from international to national to local. There are always opportunities through Griffin First Assembly as well. These trips are important because it allows students the chance to gain hands-on experience in a different environment outside the church walls. Students often find themselves growing exponentially when they step out of their comfort zone to go on a mission trip. In fact, many students receive the call to missions work while on their first mission trip.

SAGU Valor is located in the beautiful city of Griffin, Georgia. Griffin is rich with history and there is always something to do.
