Student Life

Student life is essential for our students' growth. Laughing together, being together, making memories together is what propels our students into their own individual self. Through fun activities such as Pickleball, Top Golf Tournaments, to simple Life Groups, our students have an environment that is a place where they can be who they truly are. Student Life is not just an add on to Valor, but it is ingrained into the culture of who we are.

Chapel Services

Valor offers a unique spiritual growth experience apart from any other college of its kind. Chapel is one way that we make sure students are being spiritually fed throughout the week. On Thursdays, our students and staff gather together for an exciting time of fellowship, worship, and a message tailored specifically to students studying ministry. One of the best parts about chapel is our students are able to put their hands-on training to practice. Worship is entirely student led and upperclassmen will have the opportunity to preach in a service. These weekly services provide the staff and student body of Valor to come together and put aside all their responsibilities to focus on their one true King!

Life Groups

We know that for every student to flourish, there has to be a feeling of community and family. Every individual student is loved, accepted, and challenged in their apartment life group. These life groups contribute to the larger goal, which is spiritual growth in every single student. Through our life groups, we learn together, grow together, live together. Because of it, we lead together.

Spiritual Renewal Retreats

At the beginning of each semester at Valor, every student participates in the spiritual emphasis retreat. It is a fun-filled experience for all students because of the community worship and team-building activities.

Activities include:

worship services

team games

team building activities

problem-solving

It’s an experience that bonds everyone together to be a team before the academic semester kicks off.

It is always one of the highlights of the year for every single student!

Mission Trips

Missions is the heartbeat of Valor and yearly trips is part of the Valor experience. We ask that every student go on at least one mission trip during their time with us. There are mission trips available through Valor that ranges from international to national to local. There are always opportunities through Griffin First Assembly as well. These trips are important because it allows students the chance to gain hands-on experience in a different environment outside the church walls. Students often find themselves growing exponentially when they step out of their comfort zone to go on a mission trip. In fact, many students receive the call to missions work while on their first mission trip.
